The Coordinator of Plataforma Vidro+, Tiago Moreira da Silva, participated in the panel debate“Challenges for the Packaging Sector”, at the Novo Verde Packaging Enterprise Award Event, on the New Regulation of Packaging and New Challenges for the Sector, on March 9, at the Impresa Building, in Lisbon.

The session, which was attended by stakeholders representing the various packaging materials, debated the new challenges arising from the New Packaging Regulation, as well as the need for innovation to overcome them, accelerating the path towards carbon neutrality.

“At Plataforma Vidro+, we are working with all the stakeholders, so that the ideas can be replicable and scalable,” said Tiago Moreira da Silva, when discussing the importance of collaboration throughout the value chain, which, in Portugal, is still “very fragmented”.

Conducted in partnership with the Expresso and EY, the New Green Packaging Enterprise Award aims to stimulate innovation in the packaging and packaging waste sector.
